Kit Configuration
In this kit the front is full coilover. The rear is separate spring and damper. The rear spring sits on a height adjustable platform that is supplied in the kit. The rear damper is adjustable for stiffness.
This kit allows you to adjust height and damping at all four corners of the car. This solves a number of problems that fast road, track day and race car drivers often run into as follows such as understeer, oversteer, lack of grip. The kit is also supplied with the correct spring rates, damper valving and ride height range (see Custom Build Specs section below).
This kit is designed to fit to OE your top mounts.

Adjustable Height
For fast road, track day and race day cars, this allows you to lower the car, (usually between -20 to -65mm lowering range) lowering the centre of gravity and reducing body roll which increases mechanical grip. You will also be able to adjust the height at one end relative to the other. This is especially useful for rear wheel drive cars where you might want to run the rear ride height lower than the front to reduce oversteer.
Twin Adjustable Damping – External Canister
For fast road, track day and race cars, adjustable damping allows you to stiffen the cars suspension further reducing body roll to further increase mechanical grip. You will also be able to adjust the damping at one end relative to the other. This is especially useful for rear wheel drive cars where you might want to soften the rear damping to reduce oversteer as softening the rear or stiffening the front pushes weight back onto the rear wheels increasing grip.
This kit goes even further than that being twin adjustable. This feature separates the bump and rebound damping adjustability at the front allowing you to dial the car in to your exact needs. Consider during braking for a corner. As the cars nose dips, weight is transferred to the front tyres which maximises the grip for the braking effort. As you lift off the brakes to turn in, you dont want the suspension to snap back too quickly, as this will unload the weight on the front of the car, reducing front grip and introducing understeer. Adjusting the rebound damping to slow it down allows the suspension to return to normal height less quickly, ensuring grip is maintained at the front, reducing understeer and ensuring a faster corner exit speed and a quicker lap time!
The significant difference between the Gaz Gold Twin Adjustable dampers and the Gaz Gold dampers are the external canisters fitted to the twin adjustable version. The external canisters further increases the oil capacity which allows even greater resistance to damper fade to maintain consistent damping over the course of a race or track day.
The twin adjustable dampers are also designed to withstand the high side loadings of semi and full slick tyres often seen on serious track day cars and many race formula.

Whilst it is true that height and damping adjustability will allow you to fine tune your cars handling characteristics, it is absolutely vital that the spring rates and the damper valving and the ride height range of the kit are correctly specified to suit your cars specification and use.
